As a history professor with a passion for exploring unique towns and landscapes, my recent stay at Neptune's Rest Guest Hotel in Stranraer was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, Emma's warm hospitality stood out, making us feel right at home during our brief visit. Our comfortable room provided a lovely view of Loch Ryan, which was the perfect backdrop for a restful night before our early ferry departure. While we didn't have the pleasure of enjoying the breakfast due to our travel schedule, Emma graciously packed us a lunch, showcasing her attentiveness and care for her guests. The hotel's location is not only ideal for ferry connections but also a stone's throw from quaint coffee shops and the picturesque beach. All in all, Neptune's Rest is an excellent value, combining comfort with a personal touch—perfect for travelers interested in both the local culture and the history of this charming coastal area.
